TigerLily, a girl group with closely-blended tight harmonies and a powerful sound, played to a sold-out crowd last year in the Hamner’s second Cabaret evening. Don’t miss out on the chance to hear the finely-tuned sound of this trio singing love songs in honor of St. Valentine (among other things!).
TigerLily has performed their repertoire of originals & covers at numerous venues, both locally and afar. They perform regularly at the Gravity Lounge and at Spruce Creek Gallery for the Rural Health Outreach Program’s annual benefit. In 2005, they appeared on a PBS special with Charlottesville’s local favorite, the Terri Allard Band.
TigerLily’s Gail Epps plays guitar and banjo and has performed in various acoustic ensembles since college. Donna Hamilton plays drums and percussion and frequently appears with the Terri Allard Band. Carol McAvoy rounds out the percussion and recently starred in the Hamner Theater’s production of A.R. Gurney’s “Love Letters”.
All three contribute vocally, creating a delicate, yet powerful three-part harmony that “…rivals Homer’s mythical sirens…” according to WTJU’s Wendy Repass. Known to their many local fans as Nelson County’s Nightingales, TigerLily has been delighting audiences for nearly 7 years now. Come out and be delighted yourselves by TigerLily’s songs of celebration…celebrating love, celebrating life.
